Gardening Club Update

As of right now, the garden is resting before spring planting. It won't be long before we are ordering seeds. In March, Mrs. Jackson will be sending Garden Club updates. Fifth graders who are interested in joining can always sign up in March. The Garden Club will run until the end of the school year, but there will be summer gardening dates for anyone who wants to help.

Fifth Grade Biz Town Recap

The 5th graders attended BizTown at Junior Achievement on December 2nd. This all day, real-life workday simulation was a huge success and fun, educational experience. The students prepared and interviewed for a job a few weeks before the event and came dressed and ready to fulfill their roles. 15 companies participated, the town Mayor was sworn into office, the DJs provided fun music, the CEO’s provided great leadership, the CFO’s paid all their employees, Nurses provided services to the town and so many other roles contributed to a great day! Thank you to all 32 parent volunteers, our 5th grade teachers, Woodbrook administrators and to all the students who worked very hard. What a fun day!

Fifth Grade Video Volunteer Needed!

We are seeking a special volunteer or small group of individuals to create a video (photo montage to music) to be played at the 5th Grade Graduation in May.  Photos will be submitted by parents. We wanted to get the ball rolling on this so that it can be worked on over the course of the school year rather than a mad dash at the end.  If you are interested, please reach out to Emily Winters (eriskwinters@gmail.com) or Erika Frantz (erika.frantz@att.net).

Want to pretend to be a pirate and discover a long lost treasure?  The lost and found needs you!  It is full of hats, gloves, coats, jackets, etc. with no names on them.  Please remind your children to check the lost and found! You never know what lost treasures you may find.  And please add names to everything that comes to school so it does not become treasure once your pirate loses it.  Thank you so much!!!
